Sailrite® Ultrafeed The machine à coudre LSZ-1 BASIC sewing machine package (220-240 V/50 Hz) includes our powerful portable straight-stitch/zigzag sewing machine. This package is perfect for beginner sewers looking for a rugged machine that is easy to transport, for boat owners looking to sew canvas or thick vinyl on their boat, or for a home sewer who wants a machine capable of handling heavy sewing assemblies . The Ultrafeed LSZ-1 excels in performance and versatility, sewing straight and zigzag stitches. Built with the strongest and most reliable parts, the Ultrafeed sews easily through heavy materials such as thick canvas, denim, leather and upholstery fabrics, but it is also versatile enough to sew easily through lighter household fabrics. The Ultrafeed LSZ-1 can handle all the sails of most 35-foot boats. For larger boats, it will depend on the weight of the sailcloth and the size of the sail. Its sewing capabilities have been proven in up to 10 layers of thick canvas and eight layers of Dacron® sailcloth.
The Ultrafeed LSZ-1 BASIC package includes the Ultrafeed LSZ-1 sewing machine (220-240 V) (patent no. 6499415) in the sturdy Ultrafeed ® wooden base and the EZ Set™ stitch length plate, pre-installed on the machine.
Sewing capabilities
The Ultrafeed features a 3/8-inch-high foot lift and a best-in-class needle bar stroke, so you can sew practically anything you can fit under the foot. The Ultrafeed can also be easily adjusted to sew lighter interior decorating fabrics, so it can be your machine of choice for many projects. Set the variable stitch length up to 6 mm in straight stitch and up to 5 mm in zigzag width and you are ready to go. The Ultrafeed will sew easily through fabrics such as:
